About the Mentor Competition

FreshIdeas Events have launched their first Mentor Competition which gives women across London the opportunity to have some of the UK's most high profile and successful businesswomen work with them to help them achieve their goals.

In November, ten women were chosen and matched to one of the ten MAD (Make a Difference) women mentors who will spend six months helping them achieve their goals.



What's next

The mentoring runs from November 2008 to May 2009.   Mentees have an initial meeting with their mentor to get an overview of their business or career objectives.  Thereafter mentors and mentees meet at least once per month to discuss and review their objectives.  

A winning mentor\mentee pair will be chosen at the conclusion of the six months.

We will ask the mentee to let us know some objectives they would like to have achieved within the next six months.  This will be used as a basis to consider who the winning pair may be.

We look forward to seeing some great progress in businesses and careers with the help of the Mentors!    


Dates for the diary

• On 28 January 2009, FreshIdeas Events will hold an interim gathering which mentors and mentees will be invited to attend for an update.

• The mentoring will end on 8th May 2009.

• On 21 May, we will have an open Mentor event where mentors and mentees, are invited to attend and let the audience know their progress.  On this date, we will announce the winning mentor & mentee pair.
